Curriculum

He was born in March 13, 1960, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Quique Sinesi's music is based on rhithmic and melodic elements of the Argentinean popular music. The tango, the candombe, the milonga, as well folk rhuthms (such as "huaino", "chacarera", "zamba", etc. are being interpreted with new concepts through the incorporation of improvisation and harmonies unusual in the argentinean popular music.

His leading musicians are:

Bandoneon player: Dino Saluzzi, whom he played in many festivals in Europe (Berlin, Köln, Leverküssen, Zurich and Umea), and has also recorded two albums in Argentina.

Pablo Ziegel (who used to be the pianist of the Astor Piazzolla's Quintet), who invited him to be part of his Cuarteto para nuevo Tango (Quartet for New Tango).

He has also recorded two CDs with him and has toured the United States, Canada, Germany, Greece, Italy, England, Mexico, Colombia, Bolivia and Brazil.

His own band La Alfombra Mágica (Magic Rug), formed with Horacio López and Matias González. Carlos Aguirre has recently joined them. They have recorded the first three records for Melopea Records and are now producing a new album for EPSA Music.
